The great thing about being an idol is that fans will go all out for you.
Take for example, Girls Generation (SNSD) member, Taeyeon. The now legal 21 year old celebrated her birthday on March 7th with a small group of fans at the SM building in Chung-dam-dong. To show their apreciation, fans not only put out an ad in a newspaper (see above) but also donated 3.6 million won (approximately 3300 USD) to a children’s foundaion in the Jeon-buk region.
