The Asia Pacific Actors Network (APAN) rolled out the red carpet for a few select stars at the 2009 Pusan International Film Festival. Check out the celebrity fashions:
Kim Ha-neul plays it safe in an all black outfit. The only accessories she has is the chunky silver collar and her luxuriously thick and long hair.
Choi Kang-hee. Uhm…what is she wearing? That mustard colored yellow is definitely not flattering to the skin tone and the reddish hair. Pass.
Min Hyo-rin shows off her puppies instead of her “luxury nose” in a white chiffon minidress that seems to be slipping off her body.
Lim Su-jong’s red backless dress is a definite no-no since it lengthens the body (and shortens the legs). Is she trying to tell us that she has the legs long enough to pull this off? We say no.
Lee Byung-hun, Han Chae-young and Josh Hartnett. How did Han Chae-young get in the middle? Lee Byung-hun and Josh Hartnett are at PIFF to introduce their Hollywood feature, “I come with the Rain”.
Lee Byung-hun is trying to look pulled together, but something is amiss with the color coordination-stripped red shirt and burgandy jacket with gray pants? The Korean actor’s next feature is “I come with the Rain” with Josh Hartnett.
Han Chae-young, aka “Korea’s Barbie” pays tribute to the 80’s styled strapless black and gold prom dress.
Jeon Do-yeon. What to say about a paint splattered dress? Nothing.
Kim A-joong looks fabulous in this long black dress that’s cinched at the waist with a skinny belt. The lines are clean and elegant. Too bad it wasn’t a brighter color.
Jang Dong-gun is the single president in the his movie, “Good morning Mr. President” keeps his fashion super casual in a black buttoned cardigan and matching tartan patterned shirt.
Uhm Jung-hwa adds a splash of color to an otherwise boring black dress. Yawn. Can the stars choose something other than black? This is getting boring.
Jung Ryu-won sashays along the red carpet in a fringed minidress and little booties. Lucky thing that the Biotherm model is so skinny binny that she can pull off leg-shortening look.
Choi Jung-won struts in a flowerly patterned mini-dress paired with strappy heels. The dress belongs at an afternoon luncheon rather than on the red carpet.
Jung Hye-bin makes use of an industrial sized zipper at the front of her sequined mini-dress. Notice that the zipper is zipped down just to show off her puppies.
Kang Ji-hwan is tight in an all black suit with a splash of white (in case you didn’t notice-the bowtie).
Kim So-yeon stalks the red carpet again but this time she tones it down with a tight purple dress that covers most of her shoulders. However, the burgandy platform heels are a miss.
Koh Joon-hee forgot her pants. Her ridiculously short dress (or long top) desperately needs something else to cover up her pale legs.
Japanese actor and Won Bin look-a-like Kimura Takuya is ready to go in a velvet smoking jacket, bow tie and a skull ring.
Park Sol-mi shines in a red hot 40’s style dress. The look is classic!
Su Ae channels her inner goddess but misses. The beige color washes her out and what is that strange attachement to the back of her dress?
Suh Woo. Another star in black….again.
Jang Hyuk & Sung Yuri. What happened to Jang Hyuk’s hair? Are the little tendrils flaying in the wind intentional? Despite his hair, the woman on his arm is much more pulled together in a tight black minidress and cute bow heels.
Yeh Ji-won. The cooper brown color and the ill-fitting bodice is not flattering at all. What was her stylist thinking?
