KARA’s Nicole was once homely

Did she look like this in high school?

Not quite. Nicole, once just the bubbly American member of KARA, has recently transformed into foxy vixen with KARA’s latest “Mister” promotions. Nicole originated from humble Glendale, California and it was only a few years ago (KARA debuted in 2007) that she was still there attending high school just like any ordinary American girl. Check out these photos of Nicole in her natural state in Glendale~

Her friend has a very striking resemblance to Girls Generation’s Hyo-yeon.

So how exactly do we get from this to…THIS!

While plastic surgery is rampant in the KPOP world, it’s safe to say that Nicole is completely natural, if not for removing that mole of hers. It’s always amusing looking at idols back in the day. Sometimes they look the same, maybe with a few (noticeable) alterations, but they just don’t have that idol spark like they do now.

Let’s take a look at another example…2PM’s Taec-yeon.

He is one fine specimen of a man now. MMM~ But…

UGH! In high school, he was your run-of-the-mill Asian dude.

It looks like Taec-yeon was aiming for a prestigious higher education with all the extracurricular activities he was doing. And look where he is now~

You can never really know who can come out a celebrity. They might be super plain jane or stoic guy in high school, but BAM you see them shaking their booties like they got something to shake on stage of Inkigayo orMusic Core.
