Do they sing it right?

Brown Eyed Girls may have finished their promotions for “Sound G“, but you’re not going to see them disappear after their resounding success with “Abracadabra“. On October 21st, the girls hit up MBC’s “Music Travel LaLaLa” alongside indie band Vodka Rain.

Brown Eyed Girls and Vodka Rain started off the show by performing a rendition of Billy Joel’s ”Uptown Girl. Ahn Seung-joon, the vocalist of Vodka Rain, is truly the main highlight of this song with his crystal clear vocals, but the girls hold up well on their own despite being kind of overshadowed by the raw talent that is Vodka Rain.

The girls tackled one of the most covered songs in history, You Raise Me Up” originally sung by Secret Garden. All the girls sound pretty good, although with a bit of a wavering accent. Miryo doesn’t sound like she has the lungs for singing like the rest of the girls, but she has a surprisingly sweet pair of vocal chords. When Narsha hits those high notes, you indeed feel raised up.

Performing one of their hit classics, Brown Eyed Girls sing “How Come” in an acoustic style. We all know these girls know how to sway their hips, but this is where they truly shine – singing.
