Mnet Media clears up Hyori’s plagiarism accusations
All the plagiarism accusations surrounding Hyori’s new album have finally reached Mnet Media and they have responded!
The queen of pop made a huge comeback with her 4th album and while she was on a roll, she was hit with major plagiarism accusations for six out of seven songs on her album, all which were produced by Bahnus.
However, according to Mnet Media’s official statements, there has been a huge misunderstanding about the whole plagiarism situation.
A representative of Mnet Media stated:
“During the sales of the 4th album, we have revealed this truth in the description of her song Swing. There is no need to receive a copyright approval because this ballad does not have a title and its author is anonymous.”
Mnet Media has officially responded to the plagiarism accusations and have defended Hyori, but will this issue have tampered with the overall success of Hyori’s comeback?
Afterall, it’s very similar to the “Run Devil Run” incident where SNSD were the rightful owners of the song, but a version of Ke$ha’s demo was leaked online so it seemed like SNSD copied the song.
Seems like the music industry needs to keep better track of the demo’s… what do you think?
