The late Daul Kim’s agency Esteem Model, has released a statement on the cause of death.

A representative of the company revealed that the Korean model had indeed committed suicide by hanging herself at her apartment in Paris, France on November 19th.

“Her body was found at local time 9.30am on November 19th, we cannot confirm the time of death. A memorial will be held for her on 23rd November by family and friends.”

As for the cause of suicide, they said

“This girl has started out modeling at a very young age, and she felt the intense anxiety and uneasiness about the rest of her life. In addition, she was not able to live the normal life like any girls at her age. We suspect that she had felt confused and lost, after experiencing the difference in anticipation before and after she has reached the top of her career.”

Perhaps, taking a year off modelling would have deterred her from making the unfortunate decision. But, who are we to say anything? The accumulated emotions and stress might have been too much for her. We urge those who might be going through the same thing to either seek help or confide in someone you trust.
