Her name is Cha Soo-kyung (we know…who?). Youtubers know her as the Korean Mariah Carey and that is not an overstatement. Girl can out sing all the idol groups + Baek Ji-young combined. She debuted in a girl group, “Daisy” which we never heard of and then finally she had her solo debut, again not much hoo-hah for her. South Korea should wake up! This girl has talent!

Hit drama, “Temptations of Wife” (November 2008 to May 2009) could have been the catapult for her to step out of anonymity since she sang the OST(Can’t forgive). Although people can’t stop singing the song, she’s barely known.

However, with the influx of booty-shaking, auto-tuned and squeaky voiced singers, talent is not everything.
