Ivy’s comeback has already been touched by controversey.

Ivy’s music video for her comeback single, “Touch me” has been banned by broadcasting companies for the sexually suggestive content (see the above example). The music video was rated “over 19.”

Ivy’s management company is taken aback by the situation. They have prepared for Ivy’s comeback for over 2 years.

Not the over used term, “s-class” signifying luxury in Korea, but “z-class,” which is supposed to mean…?

Hottie, Daniel Henney teams up with the sexy Jessica Gomez as the sexy couple to advertise the new “Z-class” or Zenith brand under the We’ve apartments by Doosan Construction. In the teaser CF, the glamorous couple are shown riding in a convertible car, living the high life.

Against a bright red background, the boys of Big Bang have come together as the face for clothing brand, NII.

Together with Song Min-jung, Big Bang will model the new winter fashions along with Taeyang’s dog, Boss and G-dragon’s canine, Ga-ho. Lucky dogs.

The NII catalog with Big Bang will be released in early November. Also, partial proceeds from the sale of the the heart hoodies will go towards a year end mileage charity promotion project.

Korea’s barbie, Han Chae-young has snapped up a contract with Chinese electronics giant, BBK. The Hallyu star got the attention of the Chinese public with her role in the drama, ‘Delightful Girl Choon-Hyang.”

Han Chae-young follows in the footsteps of other major Chinese celebrities Jet Li, Jackie Chan, Steven Chow.

Currently, Han Chae-young is co-starring in the new Jang Dong-gun film “Good Morning President”, which is now the number 1 film in Korea.

older boy band SS051 is ready to steal the hearts of their hometown women with their comeback single “Love like this” and their guy-liner. Today, October 30th, the music video was released and.. let’s just say that they’re fully embracing their new look. Me? Not so much. As far as the song is concerned, however, I smell catchy yet a bit overprocessed.

f(x)’s new title song “Chu~♡” will be pre-released on various music portal sites online this coming November 4th and the physical single album will be released offline this coming November 9th.

Poor guy must be in a lot of pain.

Earlier yesterday, we mentioned that Jo Sung-mo was injured during the taping of “Let’s Go Dream Team: Season 2“. It turns out that Jo Sung-mo’s injury is a lot more serious than previously stated. It has been reported that Jo Sung-mo was immediately taken to the hospital after being injured and had to undergo an operation for over 3 hours. Although the surgery was a success, his condition is very serious and must be carefully treated over the next few weeks.

A representative of Jo Sung-mo stated,

This wasn’t a simple fracture, the broken bone actually pierced through his skin and was openly exposed outside of the skin. In cases like this, there is high risk of inflammation. Surgery to piece his bone together with metal plates has been done and he will have to get treatment to prevent inflammation. After about 2-3 weeks of progress, we are planning to schedule a second surgery. Due to this we are uncertain about his recording and nationwide tour concert schedule.

Hopefully, Jo Sung-mo will have a speedy recovery and we hope to see him in well condition soon!

Luckily it’s nothing too serious.

Heo Ga-yoon, the main vocal of 4minute, injured her ankle after the taping of Mnet’s “M!Countdown” on the 29th. Reportedly, the reason behind the fall, was for her overly courteous behavior. After 4minute’s performance of “What A Girl Wants“, Heo Ga-yoon was bowing and greeting staff members, causing her to miss a step, which led to her fall and sprained ankle.

A representative of 4minute has revealed that Heo Ga-yoon’s ankle is swollen and she is having some difficulty walking. Despite the swelling, Heo Ga-yoon has insisted that she is fine and capable of following through with the rest of her schedule.

The girl has got some will power. Kudos to her but she should really think of her health first. Luckily, her manager was smart enough to make that decision on her behalf and has taken her to the hospital.

Seungri of idol group, Big Bang will be going off to college in the new Spring 2010.

The maknae will enter the Performing Arts and Film Department at Chung-ang University along with Yuri from Girls Generation (SNSD).

Supposedly, the future classmates passed the college entrance exams at 23:1 odds.

Seungri had quit highschool after debuting in Big Bang in 2006. However, the maknae managed to get his highschool diploma this past May.

Well, all the signs are there.

For a while now, Yoo So-young has been MIA from her group,Afterschool’s activites. Of course, this has caused fans to suspect that something was going on.

And now the suspicions are true.

So-young has decided to quit. The hectic schedule has put a strain on her health.

In a phone interview with Newsen, Pledis Entertainment released the statement: “She has decided to quit the group…we are deciding when the best time for her to leave, resolve legale issues and tie up loose ends”

Pledis added, “Think of it as entering and graduating Afterschool.. in that way, So-young has graduated so there will be a possibility that a new member may enter.”

If so, who is going to be the new member?

Rain busts out his choreography skills for the boy group, MBLAQ’s first single, “Oh yeah”. As of this afternoon, the video clip featuring Rain has received over 5000 hits. All all the attention on the dance moves, it looks like Rain is following his mentor, JYP, footsteps-literally!

MBLAQ is Rain’s first produced boy group.

G-Dragon’s highly anticipated solo concert, “Shine a light” was sold out in 10 minutes. Fans grappled over the chance to see the blond Big Bang member prance on stage. In addition, the concert will feature a look at Queen Jiyoung’s 10 year journey from a YG trainee to Big Bang member.

If you missed the chance to score tickets, the second round of reservation will open up on October 30 at the internet shopping mall, 11th street (in Korean).

G-dragon’s “Shine a light” concert will be held at Seoul’s Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium on December 5-6, 2009.

Ex-2PM member and leader, Jaebum still maintains his contract with JYP since the period is for half a lifetime (i.e. 7 years). And since there is 5 years remaining in his contract, time is on Jaebum’s side. However, as to when Jaebum will return to the spotlight, JYP has been keeping mum on the issue.

So will the fallen leader return to 2PM or will he start a solo pop act?

We think the latter.

2PM fans, the Underground, sent 2 containers packed with bank books to the JYP Entertainment office in Seoul on October 28^th. On over 6000 (6129 to be exact) bank accounts, the fans wrote on the cover, “this is 11,000 won that will be used to buy 2PM’s album if Jaebum returns.”

The potential funds of 60 million won (about 48 thousand USD) is supposed to whet JYP’s appetite and force him to bring Jaebum back. But that’s unlikely. For someone who rakes in over 100 million won per month from licensing alone, 60 million is peanuts.

Fans who contributed to the “Bring back Jaebum campaign, Part 2000” include fans from middle schoolers to parents.

What happened to the rest of the MBLAQ boys?

Only 10 days after MBLAQ’s debut, Thunder (in green sweater above) has scored a CF contract for Cafe Mori with none other than theWondergirls. As a member of a newbie boy group getting a solo endorsement, that’s unheard of in Korea (think lifetime contract of the boys in Dong-bang-shin-ki).

But lucky Thunder, Sandara Park’s little brother gets to hang out with the American dream catchers, the Wondergirls.

Too bad that there wasn’t a 5 on 5 CF.

Sorta, but I’m re-obsessed nonetheless.

Time to retire those Abracadabra dance moves, for they’re so not the new thing! Proving that talent peaks in later years (and that shoulder pads are in) the beauties in their late twenties repackaged their 3rd album “Sound-G” and two new tracks have just been released. Both are well composed, catchy and current.

If Abracadabra’s made us forget how talented the ladies are, “Drunk on sleep” re-reveals their powerful voices and Miryo’s ability to rap while barely at talking speed.

“Sign” is a catchy, upbeat track with a familiarly somber feel. The MV to this track will be revealed in just a few hours, so keep your eyes open!

Seo In-kook, the first winner of Korea’s version of American Idol, released his debut ballad “Calling you.” It’s kinda like a ballad yet kinda like a RnB track. Whatever the case, I kinda don’t like it. Perhaps the somber singing is too much of a contrast to the dance beat? I will admit, however, that he can sing.

Young Love. This track is quite easy on the ears and resembles the old days of Big Bang’s Taeyang. Definitely worth a listen!

Beautiful goodbye. This remake of Kim Gun-mo’s classic hit displays why this boy won Superstar K: he can sing for days. As slow as this ballad is, it’s far from boring. A cover as good as the original!

It has been announced that singer Chung-lim will be a part of the newKBS variety show, “Let’s Go Dream Team: Season 2“, in place of the injured Jo Sung-mo. Apparently, Jo Sung-mo fractured his ankle, during the taping of “Let’s Go Dream Team: Season 2″ at the Gong-reung dong military academy in Seoul.

Chung-lim was immediately called to replace Jo sung-mo for the taping of the new episode on the 28th. The PD of ”Let’s Go Dream Team: Season 2″ has stated that Chung-lim was invited to replace Jo Sung-mo, for having exerted great athletic skill during the original audition for the variety show. Whether Chung-lim will be a temporary or permanent addition to the team has not yet been decided.

Can’t wait to see the chocolate ab cutie on the new episode of the show! And we hope that Jo Sung-mo will have a speedy recovery.

The “Hot Issue” quintet want’s to tell you, “What a Girl Wants“.

The full version of 4minute’s “What a Girl Wants” has been released, just earlier today. Unlike the MV of their previous tracks “Hot Issue” and “Muzik“, the girls have toned down on their powerful image and taken a stab at a new feminine, school girl image.

This time the girls have stepped away from the bright-colored outfits, dropped the big glasses and picked up some instruments and short skirts, to form a girl rock band. In addition, the girls have incorporated a new “I don’t know, I don’t know” dance, to get fans addicted on, so they could take part in the girl group dance craze, yet again.
