Park Min-Young cast for the female lead in “Sungkyunkwan Scandal”

Actress Park Min-Young has been cast as the female lead in upcoming KBS drama “Sungkyunkwan Scandal”.

There were many rumors and controversies over who was playing the role of Kim Yoon-hee (ie. Jung Da-young’s name was thrown around), but the producers finally confirmed that Park Min-Young has been cast for the role. The female lead role of Kim Yoon-hee is an independent woman who is intelligent yet stubborn. She is very supportive of her younger brother financially, but when her brother falls ill, she takes his place at Sungkyunkwan University, pretending to be a male.

With Park Min-Young’s casting, the main leads have been finalized. She will be joining Yoo-chun of DBSK, Song Joong-ki, and Yoo Ah-in to complete the Joseon dynasty’s F4. Seo Hyo-rim has also been cast to play the daughter of a high government official.

“Sungkyunkwan Scandal” started filming on May 27th and will air in the later part of this year.
