Wonder Girls and 4Minute jump board the plagiarism train

Wonder Girls’ comeback song “2 Different Tears” has been accused of plagiarizing Wham’s “Bad Boys.” Yubin’s face (second) kind of says it all, doesn’t it?

A netizen recently pointed out on Bestiz, an online community site that the new song by the Wonder Girls sounds similar to Wham’s “Bad Boys,” and the comment is spreading like fire.

The part of the song that’s being accused is the part after “I’m trying to,”where the bpm (beat per minute) is very similar.

Plagiarism is a serious crime, but it is not proven yet whether or not this song was actually plagiarized. With all the pop/dance music in the industry, it’s hard to guarantee a new song won’t sound like another one that is already out. Composers are aware of this and although they go through careful measures, they are not perfect.

What do you think of the comparison between Wham’s song and the Wonder Girls?
