Will Rain be the Biggest Badass ?

Rain has been nominated for Biggest Badass Star for 2010 MTV Movie Awards alongside Hollywood stars like Brad Pitt, Gerald Butler, andHugh Jackman. This is one of the few times a Korean actor has been recognized at a Hollywood event. Among the nominees, Rain is the only Korean, and one of two Asians with Jackie Chan. Although “Ninja Assasin” was not the biggest hit of 2009, Rain definitely gained the interest of many playing the deadly assasin in his debut action flick. Recently,he has won three prizes at the Hollywood’s Green Planet Movie Awards, Best International Entertainer Award, and the 10 Outstanding Asians in Hollywood awards. Not forgetting about his career as a singer and the Korean fans, he is currently going “Back to the basic” and promoting a new album in the motherland. Although the producer and executives at MTV select the nominees, from the nominees, a winner is chosen by the votes of viewers. Voting opens on May 13 and the 2010 MTV Movie Awards will air on June 6, 2010.

FYI: Lee Byung-hun was also nominated in the “Best Fight” category for his fight scene with Ray Park in “G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra.”
