Over 200 female fans (as well as others) came to bid farewell to Joo Ji-hoon (Antique, Goong), as he left for his 2 years of mandatory military service today.

Joo Ji-hoon had a tumultuous 2009, after being tried and sentence for illegal drug use. After completing his 120 hours of community service, the popular actor will complete his service to the Republic of Korea before returning to acting.

After his sentencing, Joo Ji-hoon left the limelight. Fans have been unable to see the actor at any events since early last year, so they came out in droves to show their support before his departure to basic training.

With a military hair cut, Joo Ji-hoon bid farewell to everyone and hopes to come back a stronger and better Joo Ji-hoon.
