Recently, it was reported that Taeyeon stepped down from the role of leader of Girls Generation.

For the first time on a broadcast, Taeyeon shared her “stepping down” story on SBS variety show “Strong Heart.”

Taeyeon first admitted, “I stepped down,” but after further elaboration, it seems that this came up in a heartfelt talk that was full of misunderstandings.

Because of her own stress about being timid, Taeyeon asked her members if Girls Generation would work better as a leaderless group, to which no one gave opposition.

Even during the broadcast, it seems that this issue was never fully resolved, but in the end, Taeyeon is still the leader of giant girl group.

After Taeyeon expressed her worries about continuing to be the leader,Seohyun and Hyoyeon agreed that Girls Generation should still have a leader, but they worry about how hard it is on Taeyeon.

Former Sechs Kies leader Eun Ji-won advised that Taeyeon would continue to be the leader regardless, because she is already Girls Generation’s leader to Girls Generation fans. As the fans treat Taeyeon as the leader, the members will also follow.

Super Junior leader Leeteuk also had advice in the form of a Babe Ruth metaphor, saying being able to succeed also includes many errors.

So, it seems regardless of what the members of Girls Generation want, Taeyeon will continue to lead. See the broadcast for yourself!
