The latest scandal in the Kpop world is a big one. But, who is Mr. J?

Recently, police in Seoul broke up a prostitution ring involving teenage girls. Four people were arrested for running the prostitution ring and keeping the profits from their underaged workers.

During the investigation, police discovered that one of the girls, 16 years of age, had a male idol singer (called Mr. Jeon) as a regular client of her services. The 16-year-old victim had been having sexual encounters with the idol star since last year. She also confessed that the man lived in Jong-no District of Seoul.

Based on television reports, netizens have speculated that the male idol star could be Isu (real name Jeon Kwang-cheol). Isu is the lead vocalist of MC the Max and lives in the Jong-no District. Though it is simply speculation, netizens have started to come to agreement that the male idol in question could be Isu.

Since, the netizen uproar, police and the media have switched to calling the suspect “Mr. J.”

On December 7th, Mr. J failed to appear for questioning at the police station. This puts the police in a difficult situation. Though they are in contact with Mr. J’s manager, they may have to soon put out a warrant for his arrest.

Seems like the identity of Mr. J will be revealed soon.
