Is Rain the next JYP?

Rain_091010

In two short years since Rain went independent from JYP and opened up his shop, J-tune Entertainment, the 27 year old “world star” is ready to debut his own boy group, MBLAQ. For the 5 member boy group, Rain has wrote, composed their debut single, “Oh Yeah” and co-produced it withTae-wan, who also produced Rain’s “Rainism” album.

With all the new acts popping up, the slice of the Korean pop music pie may be small, but we are sure that MBLAQ will find their niche. Maybe next, Rain launch an all girl group and open a New York branch of J-tune. JYP is, after all, his mentor.

MBLAQ will release their debut track, “Oh Yeah” on October 14th.
