Ready for these lady killers?

J-Tune’s (Rain’s entertainment company) much anticipated five member boy band MBLAQ has definitely caught a lot of people’s attention. Judging from their recent NYLON photoshoot, it’s clear that these boys just ooze sex appeal and charisma: much like their boss Rain. However, seeing as how their debut is just over the horizon, many are wondering about the identities of these boys.

Just released today, here’s some information on the members:

From left to right:

Born February 7, 1988, Lee Joon’s most notable accomplishment thus far is his role as the teenage counterpart of Rain’s character in the upcomingNinja Assassin“. He is clearly not shy about showing off his chocolate abs (who would be?) and he is currently 21 years old (American age). Recently revealed as the younger brother of Korean actress Go Eun-ah, Bae Chul-young was born March 10, 1991, making him 18 years old. Boy has quite the pretty mug.

From left to right:

Sunglasses boy Jung Byung-hee previously debuted under TY Entertainment’s 2007 trio TYKEYS. He is also known as Jang-goon (his previous stage name) and is the second oldest, born November 6th, 1987. As the group baby, Kim Sang-bae was born on April 29, 1991. He is currently 18 years old and, judging from their group photo, the boy can dance. As the group elder, Yang Seung-ho was born on October 16th, 1987 and completes the group at 22 years old.

A J-Tune representative explained that, other than “mini Ninja Assassin” Lee Joon, the members’ stage names are still under construction. Also, the meaning behind their name “MBLAQ” has yet to be revealed. After training with Rain for two years, the group will release their debut single sometime mid-october.

Some history handy netizens have dug up:

Check out Jung Byung-hee without his sunglasses in TYKEYS’ 2007 MV “Old and Young“. He reminds me a lot of Big Bang’s Tae-yang, both physically and musically.

Jung Byung-hee in his sunglasses singing a phenomenal version of Alicia Keys’s “If I Ain’t Got You“. Now he really reminds me of Taeyang. Also, cameo piano by Lee Jung.

This fan-made video gives you a better look at the members’ faces.
What do you think of MBLAQ so far?
