…too little, too late don’t you think?
One of the Korean netizens responsible for leaking unpatriotic messages posted by former (it hurts me to type that) 2PM leader Park Jae-bumhas come forward.
The questionable MySpace messages (posted years ago during his trainee period) caused quite a bit of controversy, which eventually led to the suspension of Jae-bum and 2PM’s group activities, and ultimately caused the singer to leave the group and return to the US.
Well, one of the netizens responsible for leaking the now-infamous messages has come out to…apologize? Does it even matter now? The damage is done. The netizen posted the “apology” via Daum, saying:
“As you see in the photo it only shows the first section of the writing. That’s right, I only did one of the sections. I did not upload the whole thing, the meaning of those words and the section at the bottom were not my writing. But still see that the two paragraph that I had written is going around was me… I am not the one who started this, but the future seems blacked out for me…I want to die. Firstly, the thing I did is something to be angry about, but to say that I started it will make me more upset. I’m really sorry, please forgive me.”
Sounds like less of an apology and more of a cop-out to me. Okay, maybe you didn’t start all this, but by contributing to the situation and making things worse, you’re just as responsible. You don’t need to go kill yourself. In your situation, that’s the pansy way to garner sympathy. The only way for you to even slightly redeem your future and really your moral conscience is just to own up to it.
I know how I feel, but what about you guys? Is this enough of an apology considering all that has transpired?
Here’s a screen capture of the actual message~
