f(x) debut on Music Core

Finally, SM Entertainment’s new anticipated group f(x) has debuted through MBC Music Core on September 5th with “LA chA TA“.

They wowed netizens with live vocals and powerful dance moves. Their performance has been commented as cute, charismatic, and sexy. Netizens especially love boyish Amber’s rap. Looks like Amber has herself some fangirls.

Personally, it didn’t impress me too much. It was definitely a good performance, which is expected out of a group coming from SM, but they don’t really “WOW” me all that much. I also have a feeling that Amber’s style is a marketing ploy. Later on, they might “reinvent” Amber to showcase her “ability” to be feminine as well as boyish to create a lot of hype.
