Jo Kwon has become a victim of the widely spreading swine flu virus.

It hasn’t been too long since we released news that Kim Hyun-joong andK-will had been diagnosed with the swine flu. And today it has been confirmed that Jo Kwon, has also been diagnosed with the virus, just earlier today.

It has been reported that Jo Kwon had been suffering from a high fever and cold symptoms over the weekend. Worried for the health of the singer, Jo Kwon was taken to the hospital for a check up and was later ordered by the doctor to be tested for the swine flu.

Although having tested positive for the swine flu, it has been reported that Jo Kwon is currently recovering very well, after taking Tamiflu and getting a good rest. It has also been revealed that the remaining members of 2AM are also being tested for the virus, as a safety precaution.

Poor Jo Kwon. We hope that the poor guy will recover soon!

Bigbang_091028

Just 4 months after their debut in Japan, Big Bang has scored the title song, “Let me hear your voice,” for a Japanese drama on TBS called, “Single.” And their voices sound like they are speaking Korean instead of Japanese.

Guess, you can’t take the Korean out the Korean.

The music video marks DaeSung’s comeback after his fender bender in August 2009.

ivy_091027

She’s baaaaaaaack.

After almost three years, Ivy made her comeback October 27, 2009 in ChungDamDong, Seoul at 6pm.

The former sexy queen had a rough patch during the past three years with her scandal and various boy problems and felt discouraged when everyone was telling her to quit as a singer. But now she’s officially back and saying goodbye to her tears with her third album “Touch Me” written by Psy, who was rumored to have attended her showcase.

Will her determination be enough to get her title back or will she get lost in the crowd of “sexy” young female singers?

ukiss_091027

The multilingual group, UKiss, consisting of members who can speak not only Korean and English but Portuguese, Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese and Japanese, are now back with a plan to propel them to the top.

The 6 members will perform their third single on Mnet’s “M! Countdown” on November 5, 2009 but with a surprise. Well known 18 year old uljjang, Lee Ki -sup will join the group and hopefully bring his fans with him.

Will a new member and a track by the Brave Brothers, who produced hits for G-Dragon, be enough for them to finally reach and stay on top?

boom_091027

Boom will be reporting for his mandatory 22 months of military service on October 29, 2009.

The former hip hop act began his career in 2006 with “Boom Up” but did not reach his career high until 2008 with his appearances on variety shows such as “Starking”, “Champagne” and most recently “Strong Heart”.

Hopefully his military service won’t hamper his comeback two years later like it did with former NRG member, Lee Sung-Jin, who ironically was replaced by Boom as the frontman comedian on variety shows.

Check out his first music video “Boom Up” featuring a youn flower boy Kim Bum and compare the transition between his “gangster” self to his now comedian self in his newest corner “Boomkigayo” on “Strong Heart”.

Are all the good ballad groups are saying goodbye?

MtoM is finally saying farewell to their fans with their last digital single appropriately called “Goodbye” released October 22, 2009. With various hit songs like “Say you love me”, “Three Words” and “Dark black” and collaborations with SG Wannabe’s Kim Jinho and Seeya , the group has officially disbanded with the end of their contracts.

With their last music video featuring Lee Bum-soo and Han Eun-jung, this short but sad song really does its job and finalizes the last song the boys will do together.

thunder&dara_091027

We know it’s a corny title but at least it’ll be an interesting stage.

Recently debuted MBLAQ member, Thunder, more well known as 2NE1’sDara’s little brother, will be performing with his noona at the “Superstar Power of Love” concert on Halloween at Seoul Olympic Stadium for the first time.

Joined by other superstars such as 2NE1, world star Rain, and 4minute, an “exclusive” 5,000 people are definitely going to be feeling the love that night.

“Superstar Power of Love” concert is being held to help underprivileged children in Korea.

hyori_091027

Lee Hyori’s long awaited fourth album will not be released this month but rather, Mnet will wait until early next year to drop what could be her last album under Mnet.

Although netizens are disappointed that no showdown between the former sexy queen Ivy and current pop icon will occur, this is likely to be an effective business strategy that will keep Hyori on top and rake in money for Mnet.

At this point, Ivy’s company was probably banking on something like a showdown to get netizens interested again with the former scandalous diva. Too bad. This time, Ivy loses out. And Lee Hyori will likely release her album at the end of the promotion stage of Ivy’s album, thus cutting into Ivy’s album and song sales.

With Hyori already dominating advertisements with endorsements in almost every major industry and now the small screen with her presence on the hit SBS program “Family Outing”, it will be difficult for Ivy to advertise herself with her dirty laundry still hanging behind her.

All I can say is, Mnet is a genius.
