Kim Hyun Joong confirmed to leave DSP Entertainment

For the past couple of months, there have been rumors circulating that SS501’s leader Kim Hyun Joong would leave his agency DSP Entertainment once his contract comes to an end.

Well, it’s been confirmed that this one is true after all.

A related source confirmed on the 28th, “Kim Hyun Joong has decided not to renew his contract with DSP Entertainment. … He will move to another agency.” It’s also been reported that Hyun Joong will enter Keyeast (키이스트), an agency known for its prominent actors including Bae Yong Joon, Park Ye Jin, Bong Tae Gyu, Lee Bo Young, Lee Na Young and Hwanhee, so it’s very likely that Hyun Joong’s career will take the acting route.

Due to Kim Hyun Joong’s decision to leave DSPE, there are now questions about the rest of the members of SS501. Many wonder if this will mark the end of SS501, or whether the rest of the members will follow the routes of Shinhwa and g.o.d and complete promotional activities together with Hyun Joong under different agencies.

UPDATE: According to new reports, DSPE hasn’t decided whether SS501 will gain a new member or become a quartet, implying that, although Hyun Joong will be leaving the group, his departure won’t mark the end of SS501. As the rest of the members of SS501 are working on renewing their contracts with DSPE, fans can only hope for the best until an official statement is released.

Super Junior’s Eunhyuk goes blonde for upcoming promotions

TVXQ’s Jaejoong and SNSD’s Jessica have all garnered attention in the past for sporting golden locks, and it looks like Eunhyuk is the latest SM artist to jump on the blonde bandwagon with Super Junior’s new promotions just around the corner.

With SuJu’s repackaged fourth album released just yesterday, ELFs have paid special attention to the members in hopes of gaining clues about the group’s upcoming promotions. Today, they were rewarded with new photos of Eunhyuk at today’s recording session for Kiss the Radio, which document the dancer’s dramatic hair transformation from black to blonde.

Looks like Leeteuk won’t be the only blonde MC on Kiss the Radio now.

Kara’s Gyuri & SuJu’s Shindong morph into Na’vi from Avatar

Over the past few weeks, idols have shown their Korean support for the FIFA World Cup in many interesting ways, but this definitely tops the list of absurdity.

On Twitter last week, Kara leader Gyuri and Super Juniordork Shindong of Shim Shim Ta Pa radio had promised to transform into Na’vi if Korea advanced to the Top 8 at the World Cup. Although the team got knocked out during their Top 16 match against Uruguay, the two radio DJs dressed up anyway to the delight of their fans.

“Today you will get to see us on Shim Shim Ta Pa,” Gyuri announced today.“Although the Korean team didn’t make it [to the Top 8] in the World Cup, they worked hard, so Shindong and I have decided! Please anticipate our transformations.”

Considering the fact that Shindong has transformed into an SNSD cheerleader in the past, seeing him in a ridiculous get-up like this isn’t a huge shocker, but Gyuri the Na’vi definitely made me do a double take.

TVXQ’s JaeChunSu demands $2.5 million USD from SM Entertainment

Three members of boy group TVXQ—Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu—have been very constant with their actions against their “ex-agency” SM Entertainment so far, as they’ve already filed in (and technically won) a group lawsuitto terminate their seemingly-unfair contract once and for all.

Today, it’s been revealed that the trio is now demanding 3 billion won—which roughly converts to about $2.5 million in U.S.—from SM Entertainment, to fairly compensate the earnings they’ve made from various TVXQ-activities to date.

According to JaeChunSu’ claim, since the trio’s contract with SM is now void (since October 2009) due to its illegality, the profit that SME earned from the contract should now rightfully be returned to the three members. Since the whole group has earned 60 billion won in total, the trio believes each member deserves at least 10 billion won, deducting SME’s own expenses. However, they have decided to demand only one tenth of that amount for now, ultimately seeking for 3 billion won (2.5 million USD).

To support their decision, the three members also argued, “SM Entertainment claims that 13-year-long contract is needed for overseas activities, but it’s unacceptable. We members are the ones who have to pay for the damage if the contract is broken in any way, and its amount is too high to be acceptable.”

Latest reports have announced that the trio will eventually increase the amount of compensation, but the final amount hasn’t been decided yet.

Demanding such an overwhelming amount of cash may serve justice to the trio, but it definitely does not seem like an easy route. Hopefully these issues will be resolved soon.

[Who pops it best?] Kim Min-hee vs. UEE

Actress Kim Min-hee and UEE of After School were seen wearing the same mini dress from the Marc by Marc Jacobs 2010 Spring/Summer Collection.

Kim Min-hee was seen wearing it for a photo shoot for the fashion magazine, Oh! Boy, while UEE wore it to the official press conference for drama “”Birdie Buddy”. Kim Min-hee wore very minimal accessories with the check print dress and just wore a big ribbon hair piece. UEE, on the other hand, paired up the mini dress with long boots, a ring on each hand, and matching nails.

The Marc by Marc Jacobs dress, which gives off a sexy yet bright image, is a good choice for stars with doll-like faces and nice figures like Kim Min-hee and UEE. However, unlike Kim Min-hee who accessorized her dress with an interesting hair piece, UEE paired her outfit with light-colored boots that covered her best assets: her legs. UEE looked more casual than sexy.

Hong Su-ah, is she sick?

Hong Su-ah recently uploaded a picture of herself on her homepage on June 23, 2010 titled “Driving Practice”. As shown in the above picture, she looks very weak and tired.

She even added a caption saying it is getting harder and harder to walk and questioned why she keeps on losing weight. Many fans are concerned over her drastic weight loss especially because she was already so thin before. They are hoping that she regains her weight and energy back soon.

Maybe after she gets healthier, she can perform on stage with singer Ali again, like she did on KBS “Music Bank” on June 11, 2010.

Kim Hyun-joong’s future “destination” will not be with DSP Entertainment

The leader of SS501 is leading the way to KEYEAST.

Singer and actor,Kim Hyun-joong has officially parted ways with DSP Entertainment.His former management company announced,on June 28th that he did not renew his contract with them.The rest of Double S did renew their individual contracts which leaves fans puzzled and upset. Will this be the end of SS501? The company is deliberating whether the group should continue as four or hire a new member.Hyun-joong,however,plans to sign with Bae Yong-joon’s company,KEYEAST.

Jokwon’s “Moving Song” to be released as a digital single

Jokwon created a “Moving Song” with composer Shim Eun-ji to surprise Ga-in with it as a gift on the episode of MBC “We Got Married” on June 26, 2010.

Big Hit Entertainment, who is currently in charge of management for 2AM, stated that after the episode where Jokwon surprised Ga-in with the song aired, many fans have requested for the complete song to be released. The management company added that they are releasing it as a digital single for all the Adam couple fans out there.

The composer, Shim Eun-ji, added that she composed the song by thinking of Jokwon confessing his love to Ga-in. She continued by saying that the song may sound comedic, but due to Jokwon’s bright and innocent personality, the song was able to be completed well.

“Moving Song” has been updated with a better melody and lyrics to be released into a digital single titled “The Day I Confessed”.

Official posters revealed for upcoming KBS drama “Gumiho: Fox Child”

The official posters for upcoming KBS drama “Gumiho: Fox Child” have been revealed.

“Gumiho: Fox Child”, not to get confused with “My Girlfriend is a Nine-tailed Fox” stars Han Eun-jung as a nine-tailed fox who spent 10 years married to a human to become a human. However, due to her husband breaking a promise the night before their 10 year anniversary, she fails. Kim Yu-jung, child actress known for her role in “Dong Yi” stars as Han Eun-jung’s daughter who is the “fox-child”. Seo Shin-ae, also a child actor from “Highkick Through the Roof”, plays the role of the “fox-child’s” human younger sister.

By the looks of the first two posters, “Gumiho: Fox Child” seems to be a horror drama. But the last poster which is a happy family picture shows the viewers that the drama might be something more than just a regular horror drama.
